This beautiful casserole dish was made sometime in the 1950s and 1970s by Royal USA. The pattern is called Currier and Ives Blue and illustrates a detailed, lively scene of a horse and carriage. It is ironstone which is a sought after type of stoneware patented in the 1800s and is known for its durability and porcelain-like appearance. There is an R stamped on the bottom to indicate it was made by Royal (USA).
